When a cold front hits Florida, we suit up in our Ocean Tec Wetsuits and charge. Last week, Winter Storm Riley makes an appearance in Palm Beach County and it brings a taste of winter and waves to the Sunshine State.
The cold front delivers epic South Florida surf conditions to the East Coast and Ocean Tec Ambassador, Jack Bates, puts his life on hold to chase the waves in his backyard. Can you see the stoke written all over his face?
Chilly morning temps of 50 degrees give no option but, to suit up in a warm and cozy wetsuit. Jack gears up in the Ocean Tec Front Zip 3MM Freedom Mens full surf wetsuit and puts it to the test the only way know how…in epic conditions! The full surf wetsuit is crafted with three millimeter thick neoprene, ultra stretchy and ultra warm, that features thermal plush on the inside layer. The wet suit design presents strategic panels in areas of high tension, so you’ll still feel FREEDOM in your surf performance. Hints** why we call this bad boy the Freedom Suit. A front zip entrance makes an easy in and out of wet suit while alleviating discomfort from a zipper on the back of your neck. The wetsuit seams are glued and then carefully blind stitched. We’re not biased.. this suit is EPIC and proudly made in the USA. Jack is ripping in it!
We take a smoothie break as the sun starts to peak, finding a nice spot to hang dry the Freedom mens full surf wetsuit. But, the off shore winds don’t keep us out of the water for too long. With no clouds in the sky and an afternoon temp of 70 degrees, Jack trades the full suit for the Ocean Tec No Zip 2MM Refuge Mens surf jacket. Our first ever “No Zip” neoprene jacket. The neoprene jacket is so stretchy, it pulls over your head effortlessly. The top is two millimeters thick and its panels are glued together and the seams are then blind stitched. It is the perfect REFUGE from winds 🙂
Thanks for taking some time to read about our wet suits in testing.. Can’t wait to offer them to you all soon.
